WHO WE ARE

About Us

THE FOUNDER

I started out my career in the early days as a heavy equipment mechanic and a welder. Then I fell in love with computers, and I ended up spending 25 years as a computer engineer with 17 of those years at one of the big banks. After all those years I decided it was time for a change again and I wanted to get back to my roots. So I opened up my own welding shop. The hard part wasn't the welding, it was the busy work.

The hard part wasn't the welding, it was the busy work.

I was doing quotes for jobs that I never got. Calls that I couldn't answer because I was on a job site welding. And callbacks that I got to too little, too late. Then there was the paperwork at night: organizing receipts so I didn't miss anything for tax time, paying invoices, sending out invoices to customers, etc., etc., etc. I haven't even scratched the surface of the busy work. There's so much of it, it was almost like having two full-time jobs, but only getting paid for part of it. I was spending less time with my family and more time on the busy work, once I finished the real job.

More of Terry's founder story is coming soon.
